How can I obtain a BIOS Update?
If you require a BIOS Update for your computer please feel free to contact techsupport@4xem.com for more information regarding BIOS Updates. 4XEM only provides BIOS update for the Versa line of computers and does not provide BIOS updates for the Elite line of computers. Before we can provide you with a BIOS update file we will require the System Board Version that your system is currently using. This information can be found immediately when you first turn on your Versa computer. The System Board Version Number will be located near the top of the screen. An example of what you may see would be “S620 EP001 V 1.3”. This is the required information that we will require before a BIOS update can be issued to you. If a BIOS update is applied to a computer with a System Board version that is not compatible, the computer may cease to function properly.
Note: If you intend on using an Intel Prescott processor with your Versa computer you may require a BIOS update. All Versa computers that have a “Prescott Ready” sticker on the outside of the box do not require a BIOS update. Only Versa computers that do not feature this sticker will require a BIOS update for Prescott processors. Additionally, the Versa computer will function completely and will not require a BIOS update if you are using an Intel Northwood processor.
