I have set my email settings and I’ve double checked them and they are correct but my snapshot emails are just not sending (or FTP uploads not uploading). What am I doing wrong?

It is very important to make sure that your network settings are configured properly. It is possible that you can connect and use your camera just fine but not have the proper network settings for your camera. Of high importance are “IP address”, “Subnet Mask” and “Default Router”. The setting which is most often the problem is “Default Router”. To find out what the best setting for this is, reach a command
prompt window. (Start->Accessories->Command Prompt) From here, type in “ipconfig /all” and a readout of your computer’s network settings are. If you have
more than 1 network connection, there may be several listings. The relevant listing might be called “Ethernet adapter connection name” or something similar. From this listing, find the address labeled “default gateway” and enter this as the value for “default router” in your camera’s “network” settings page.
