How can I tell if my camera is detecting motion properly?

From the camera’s “motion detection” settings page, all motion detection settings can be reached. The status bar to the right of the camera’s feed window indicates whether the motion detection is too sensitive, or not sensitive enough. If the bar shows up as green, the motion in the picture is under the requirements to trigger motion detection measures, but if it turns red, the camera has noticed enough motion to trigger events. Adjust the “sensitivity” and “percentage” sliders to get the best results. “Percentage” refers to the percentage of the selected motion detection window that needs to experience motion to trigger the event. Set the “sensitivity” slider to higher and the “percentage” slider to lower to achieve easier motion detection.
